I've got a fun problem to tackle by the end of the month. We host an annual conference where all of our remote staff (300+ ppl)hang out in a hotel for three days. During this time our help desk staff has previously used flash drives and manual button mashing to install software and updates on client machines. They get frustrated and it's very labor intensive. This year, I want to automate the task with our recent install of SCCM at HQ. Plug in the laptops to the local switch, run a policy update, and watch it churn.
I've got SCCM 2012r2 up and running at our primary site (P01 - ServerA) and the CM client installed on ~80% of client machines. My idea is to set up a small LAN containing either a DP or Site Server (S01 - ServerB) at the conference that will be responsible for shoving software down the locally connected client...
