We have several models of Dell computers and laptops.
On Dell's Web site, they have a CAB file that contains all the drivers for each model. Using PNPUTIL, I have started adding the INF drivers from these CAB files to our images so that the image will work on all our various models, complete with the correct drivers.
Here are a few problems that I have recently experienced:
- With a particular model of our laptops, I have to change the hard-drive mode from RAID (the default) to AHCI in the BIOS to get the OOBE to complete. Otherwise, OOBE will start, but an error message will eventually appear, indicating that Windows setup cannot complete on that hardware.
