I want to design a device collection that contains windows servers 2008 R2-2012 SP1, but will exclude any server that contains a SQL (Enterprise or Express).
Im new to collection building so any help would be appreciated,
My angle i'm taking as of right now, is to just build the collection of servers, then manually deletes any that i know contain SQL. The problem i see with this method is anytime we spin up a new SQL Server it will be automatically be detected by the heartbeat discovery and entered into the collection and if not immediately removed could cause problems.
Also does anyone have a good site to learn more about collection design?
