I am attempting to come up with an inexpensive way to image computers. I tried the Dell Kace KBOX and absolutely loved it. However, the boss was not overly impressed with the $30k price tag that was associated with it (he was completely on board until I said "It will cost us thir..."). After doing some online research, I found something called FOG (Free Open-Source Ghost). Once I got FOG up and running (which was not the easiest because I am not a big Linux guy), it reminded me of the KBOX I thought was so wonderful.
FOG is not the same as a KBOX, not even close. But, it does do a number of the things that a KBOX does. For what it does for the price, it is worthy of checking out.
